Located in the very building once owned by the legendary comedian Bobby Thompson, affectionately known as "The Little Waster," we’ve revived his spirit of humour and hospitality in a space where laughter and art thrive. A Legacy of Laughter

In the late 1970s and early 1980s, Bobby Thompson owned this building, and his iconic comedy style left an indelible mark on the region. Today, Wasters honours his legacy by offering an exciting space for comedy, arts, and creative expression. Named in tribute to Bobby’s famous stage persona, Wasters is where history and humour meet, creating a space for both emerging and established artists to shine.

Wasters is the brainchild of Caden Elliott, a talented comedy writer and performer, and a key member of the wacky Geordie troupe Metroland Comedy. Known for their surreal sketches, live shows, and award-winning short films, Metroland Comedy brings a playful energy to the stage, making every time they preform a time to remember. With Caden at the helm, Wasters is set to become a hotspot for comedy lovers and creatives alike.
